CERAMICS RESTORATION AND REPAIR
The delicate nature of fine ceramics always leaves them at risk of damage, whether brand new or antique. A misplaced elbow can spell disaster in seconds, but rest assured our conservators can work wonders, no matter how many pieces need fixing back together.
We offer quality repairs and restoration whether valuable antiques for museum display, or sentimentally valuable pottery items. Our team is highly skilled from bone china to earthenware, and everything in between. We are proficient in many kinds of restoration – each piece will need to be individually evaluated in person and we will give you a clear outline of the work needed to complete the job.
Repairs may include new glazes and paints to repair surface damage, the reconstruction of missing parts using resins, or use of the kiln to bake repairs in the case of china and porcelain. We are also able to ‘undo’ historic repairs, removing glues from DIY efforts.
Once you are happy with the finished item, we can also provide new display stands and cases to keep your ceramics safe for years to come.
